Training facilities
Equestrian Complex
Students at Glenormiston College have access to extensive horse facilities, including a 36 hectare horse stud and 60 horses. The campus has an indoor foaling and breeding complex, and an artificial insemination laboratory.
Old bluestone farm buildings have been renovated to provide stables, tack rooms and classrooms.
Students can also arrange to agist their own horse on campus. The Equestrian Complex with its indoor and outdoor riding arenas allows students to work their horses year round, with access to yards, round yards, a camp draft area and a cross country course. Access to equine heart rate monitors and starting stalls are also available.
Dairy Farm
Glenormiston College specialises in farm management for dairy, sheep and beef production. It operates its own commercial dairy farm. In addition to its role as a teaching facility, North Farm has for many years provided financial dividends to support campus operations. It has a herd of some 170 mainly Friesan cows. The farm rears about 75 heifer calves each year.
